Publication Ethics

Introduction

Al Muhafidz: Jurnal Ilmu Al-Qur'an dan Tafsir is committed to the highest standards of publication ethics and transparency. This policy aligns with:

  • Scopus Ethical Publishing Guidelines

All parties involved in the publication process—authors, reviewers, editors, and the publisher—are required to adhere to ethical standards. Any form of misconduct including plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, or ethical violations is strictly prohibited.

1. Authorship and Contributorship Policy

The journal adopts the CRediT (Contributor Roles Taxonomy) system. Authorship is limited to individuals who have made significant contributions to:

  • Conceptualization
  • Methodology
  • Investigation
  • Formal analysis
  • Writing (original draft and review)
  • Supervision and funding acquisition

All authors must:

  • Approve the final manuscript
  • Agree to submission
  • Be accountable for the content
  • Ensuring the authenticity of the manuscript

Ghost authorship, gift authorship, and honorary authorship are strictly prohibited.

2. Complaints and Appeals

The journal provides a transparent mechanism for handling complaints and appeals regarding:

Procedures:

  • Complaints must be submitted in writing with supporting evidence

Authors are strongly encouraged to deposit datasets in recognized repositories such as:
