AI Policy

Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)

This journal recognizes that advances in Artificial Intelligence (AI) can support the academic writing process. However, its use must be strictly limited to maintain scientific integrity, originality, and the intellectual responsibility of authors.

Permitted Use of AI

Authors may use AI-based tools only for technical and non-substantive purposes, including:

  • Language editing, such as grammar correction, sentence structure improvement, and clarity enhancement (e.g., proofreading and grammar checking)
  • Formatting assistance, such as organizing document structure, citations, and manuscript formatting in accordance with the journal template

In all cases, the use of AI must remain under the full control of the authors, and all outputs must be carefully reviewed and verified.

Prohibited Use of AI

To ensure the quality and originality of scholarly work, AI must not be used for:

  • Generating scientific arguments, analysis, or data interpretation
  • Writing core sections of the manuscript (e.g., results, discussion, or conclusion) automatically
  • Replacing academic judgment, critical thinking, or intellectual contribution
  • Creating or manipulating research data (fabrication or falsification)
  • Being listed as an author or scientific contributor

Any use of AI beyond these limits will be considered a violation of publication ethics.

Transparency Requirements

Any use of AI in the writing process must be clearly and honestly disclosed in the manuscript, typically in the:

  • Acknowledgements section

Authors must specify:

  • The name of the AI tool used
  • The purpose of its use (e.g., language editing or formatting assistance)

Example statement:
“The authors used an artificial intelligence tool (e.g., ChatGPT) for language editing and grammar correction. All content and scientific arguments remain the sole responsibility of the authors.”

Author Responsibility

The use of AI does not reduce or transfer the authors’ responsibility. Authors remain fully accountable for:

  • Data accuracy
  • Originality of ideas
  • Validity of arguments
  • Compliance with publication ethics

This policy ensures that AI is used ethically as a supporting tool, not as a substitute for human intellectual contribution in scholarly research. Manuscripts found to violate this policy may be rejected or retracted by the journal.
