This page sets out the copyright and permission terms that apply to works published in Al-Muhafidz.
1. Copyright Ownership
Authors retain the copyright in their work. By publishing in Al-Muhafidz, authors grant the journal the right of first publication, and the work is licensed under CC BY 4.0. This license allows others to share the work, provided they acknowledge its authorship and its initial publication in this journal.
2. Publishing Authorization
Authors grant Al-Muhafidz the right to publish, distribute, index, disseminate, and preserve the article under the CC BY 4.0 license. The publisher, LPPM STIQ Al-Multazam Kuningan, carries out publication on behalf of the journal.
3. Separate Distribution Arrangements
Authors may enter into separate, additional agreements for the non-exclusive distribution of the published version, for example by depositing it in an institutional repository or publishing it in a book. In such cases, the work should acknowledge its initial publication in this journal.
4. Sharing Before and After Publication
Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online, for example in institutional repositories or on their own websites, both before and during the submission process, and after publication. Doing so can encourage scholarly exchange and wider citation of the published work. The detailed rules for deposit are set out in the Repository Policy and the Digital Archiving Policy.
5. Third-Party Material
Third-party material that is credited separately remains under the rights of its owner and is excluded from the article’s CC BY 4.0 license. Copyright in the website design, logos, software, and other site materials belongs to the journal or the publisher, and is separate from copyright in the articles.
