Al-Muhafidz: Jurnal Ilmu Al-Qur'an dan Tafsir makes information about its governance publicly available. This policy explains how governance information is verified, published, reviewed, and corrected, so that readers, authors, and reviewers can identify the journal’s current arrangements.
1. Public Access to Governance Information
Governance information is available on the journal’s official website without registration or payment. Relevant pages are reachable through the journal’s navigation and carry clear, descriptive headings.
Each governance topic is maintained on its own designated page. Other pages may include brief references or links, while the complete information stays in one primary location.
2. Accuracy and Verification
Names, appointments, affiliations, and organizational relationships are checked with the person concerned or an authorized organizational representative before publication or any substantive amendment.
Editors and advisory members must agree to serve before they are listed as current members. Departures, changes in position, and reported updates to affiliations are reflected in the relevant public listing after verification.
Academic profile links help with identification but do not replace confirmation of an appointment or affiliation. Unverified appointments and institutional relationships must not be presented as established facts.
3. Responsibility for Information Maintenance
The editorial office coordinates the maintenance of governance pages. Editorial appointments and editorial policy information are checked with the Editor-in-Chief or an appropriately authorized, non-conflicted editor. Organizational information is checked with the authorized representative of the publisher or owner.
Website administrators implement authorized updates. Permission to edit a webpage does not by itself confer authority to change appointments, ownership arrangements, or editorial policies.
4. Review and Consistency
Governance pages are reviewed periodically and whenever a verified change is reported. Reviews cover the accuracy of public listings, the functionality of links, current contact details, and consistency between related pages.
Where conflicting statements are identified, the editorial office verifies the approved information with the responsible authority and updates the affected pages. If clarification is still needed, a visible notice should explain the uncertainty rather than leave contradictory information unqualified.
5. Policy Dates and Change Notices
New or substantively revised governance policies should state their effective date. Material changes should include a brief explanation of what changed and, where relevant, which submissions or activities are affected.
An internal record of substantive revisions should retain the previous wording, the approval, and the effective date. Minor typographical or formatting changes do not require a separate public announcement.
Changes to ownership or management are disclosed on the Ownership and Management page. This policy governs how that information is maintained, without repeating the underlying ownership arrangements.
6. Boundaries of Public Disclosure
Governance transparency covers the information needed to understand the journal’s organization and published policies. It does not require public disclosure of confidential manuscript records, protected personal data, or private correspondence. Such material is governed by the journal’s confidentiality and privacy policies and by applicable legal obligations.
