Al-Muhafidz, published by LPPM STIQ Al-Multazam Kuningan, respects the privacy of everyone who uses its website and takes part in its publication activities. Personal information is used only for purposes that have been identified, and it is handled with care.
1. Information Collected
Creating an account, submitting a manuscript, reviewing for the journal, or contacting the journal may involve providing a name, affiliation, email address, ORCID identifier, account details, professional interests, and records of submissions, reviews, and correspondence. Where publication fees apply, the payment details needed to process them may also be kept.
The website also collects technical information needed to run and protect the site, such as connection details, browser information, and access logs.
Authors who provide information about co-authors must ensure those co-authors know that the information is being shared with the journal for administration and publication purposes. Sensitive personal information should be provided only when it is genuinely necessary.
2. Purposes of Use
Personal information is used to:
Information will not be used for unrelated purposes unless there is a proper basis and any required notice or consent has been obtained. Supplying an email address for a submission or review does not automatically add that address to promotional mailing lists.
3. Information Made Public
Published articles and their metadata normally show authors’ names, affiliations, and relevant declarations. ORCID identifiers and the corresponding author’s contact details may also be published, so these should be checked before publication.
Editorial and advisory board listings may show agreed names, affiliations, positions, and academic profile links. Administrative contact details are not made public automatically.
Public information may be indexed, downloaded, shared, or kept by external services. The journal cannot guarantee the removal of copies held by those services. Private reviewer information is protected under the Confidentiality policy.
4. Access and Sharing
Non-public information may be accessed only by authorized staff and service providers, and only as far as their assigned work requires. Hosting, technical support, payment processing, and similar services must operate under appropriate safeguards.
Relevant information may be shared with a competent institution or authority when this is necessary for a legitimate integrity assessment or to meet a legal obligation. Any such disclosure must be proportionate and properly protected.
Private contact lists of authors, reviewers, and editors will not be sold or given to advertisers for unrelated promotion. Public article metadata is kept separate from private administrative contact lists.
5. Security and Retention
The journal applies proportionate safeguards to protect records against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. Account holders should keep their passwords secure and report any suspected compromise. No system can guarantee complete security.
Private records are kept for as long as they serve their purpose, meet applicable obligations, and fulfill legitimate editorial, financial, or integrity needs. Information that is no longer needed, and for which no retention obligation applies, is deleted or anonymized.
Published attribution and bibliographic records are normally kept as part of the scholarly record. Deleting an account does not remove an article, an author’s attribution, or the required publication history.
