About the Journal

Al-Qadr: Journal of Qur’anic Science (AQS) is an open-access, peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Department of Qur’anic and Tafsir Studies, Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Al-Qur’an Al-Multazam. The journal focuses on both textual and contextual approaches, seeking to advance rigorous scholarship on the Qur’an and its interpretation across linguistic, historical, cultural, and contemporary dimensions.

AQS is published twice a year (May and November) and applies a strict peer-review process to maintain academic integrity, originality, and relevance. The journal welcomes high-quality manuscripts written in English, Indonesian, or Arabic, encouraging contributions from diverse scholarly traditions—classical and contemporary alike. By facilitating the global exchange of ideas, AQS aims to connect scholars from East and West and to promote interdisciplinary research that deepens and broadens the study of the Qur’an and its interpretation.
